2008: Drawing

In 2008, I moved from NYC to San Francisco. I began making line drawings on black paper using white ink and then later incorporating other metallic inks, colored pencil and collage elements. The graphic contrast of these works was really striking to me and I thought that the forms I created had a bit of an other worldly quality. They also look like unusual objects floating, twisting, and turning in the darkness of outer space. The natural, organic aspect of the shapes I created became even more abstracted.
